findings have demonstrated how big is the importance of the relationship between the microbes that inhabit our bodies and our wellbeing, resistance against disease and response to medical treatments.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-775fae8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"775fae8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\nOur research group at the APC Microbiome Ireland is currently studying how the microbiome can affect the presence\/abundance of certain molecules in the gut and how that, in turn, can alter our susceptibility to infection with a dangerous bacterium called Listeria, that causes the foodborne disease listeriosis.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-53db6a0 elementor-widget
