Paving the Microbiome Way for Improved Food Systems

The final conference is coming up! From 27-29 June 2022, MicrobiomeSupport will hold its final event in form of a 3-day on-site conference in Brussels before it officially ends its activities at the end of October. We are very excited to welcome you in-person after a long time.

In keeping with its mission to guide the creation of a sustainable and circular, microbiome-based bioeconomy, MicrobiomeSupport’s final conference entitled “Paving the Microbiome Way for Improved Food Systems” will provide unique insights into how microbiomes can deliver sustainable and innovative solutions that create significant positive impacts on our food systems.

The event will feature top speakers representing different stakeholder groups, including representatives from the scientific community who inform about the latest state of research in different types of environments (soil, plants, aquatic environments, animals, humans, etc.), as well as governmental and institutional representatives discussing new policy approaches and the economic and public health importance of microbiomes.

Furthermore, highlights from the project will be presented by the project coordinator Angela Sessitsch, and the four Microbiome Innovation Actions who have been working under the umbrella of MicrobiomeSupport will provide insights into the efforts that have been put into delivering greater impact on microbiomes in the food system.

Last but not least, with speakers and invitees travelling from across the globe, the event will offer a chance to engage in nationwide and global networking.
