A dialogue between beauty and the usefulness of microorganisms during a city festival.
Silvia Lampis and Giovanna Felis, professors of Microbiology, Gianluca Solla, professor of Theoretical Philosophy, and Anna Marziano, director and artist, on the occasion of World Microbiome Day, will discuss the relationships between the concept of beauty and functionality, structure and nature of microorganisms. The event is linked to the photo exhibition “Amazing Microorganisms”.
An interdisciplinary comparison between scientific research and the professional world to investigate the links between scientific and aesthetic gaze in a fruitful and stimulating intersection of different kinds of knowledge.
